Hearing Aid Specialist Assistant
Role Description
This is a part-time on-site role as a Hearing Aid Specialist Assistant with a path to full-time after 3-6 months of work pending a skills assessment and interest in becoming licensed as a hearing aid specialist. The assistant will support JuneSoo Ham, the Hearing Aid Specialist, in daily tasks such as conducting hearing tests, assisting with fittings and adjustments, checkups and hearing aid troubleshooting, maintaining patient records, and providing exceptional customer service.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with conducting hearing tests and assisting with fittings
- Knowledge of hearing aid technology and accessories from Signia, Widex, Phonak, Unitron, Resound and Oticon
- Experience with CounselEar
- Bilingual in Spanish and/or Korean
- Strong attention to detail and proclivity for meticulous organization
- Excellent communicator and warm bedside manner
- Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and professionalism
Open to candidates with no experience in the field if you are a quick learner, have strong fine motor skills & excellent vision and you are seriously interested in becoming a licensed hearing aid dispenser. Mentorship towards hearing aid dispensing licensure is inherent in the role as you shadow me and learn the trade. I will also provide studying materials and advise you of exam expectations from the state board.
